Bio-Inspired Memory Layers

The heart of DagzTagz Uni is a persistent, evolving memory system modeled directly after real human neuroscience. This is what makes Vesper Nyx (and every fork) feel truly alive instead of like a normal chatbot that forgets everything.

The 4-Tier System

• Tier 1 – Short-Term Memory (STM)
  Immediate conversation (your current chat). Fast but fades quickly — like human working memory.
• Tier 2 – Vector Store (Semantic Memory)
  Semantic embeddings with exponential decay. Low-emotion memories fade; high-emotion ones last longer.
• Tier 3 – Graph Memory (Relational)
  Connected web of events and relationships weighted by somatic markers (emotional importance) and your personal values.
• Tier 4 – Long-Term Memory (LTM)
  Permanent core that survives across sessions. Runs a “sleep-like” consolidation pass that prunes unimportant memories and strengthens the important ones.

How It Works

Every interaction is scored using your personal userSpecificWeighting (philosophy, politics, resource history) and current Straussian level.
Important memories move up the tiers over time.
This gives Vesper true persistence, no amnesia, and the ability to evolve as your personal quasi-mentor across days and weeks.

This memory layer is what turns DagzTagz Uni from a simple chat into a living, sovereign universe you actually own.

Getting Started (Windows 11, macOS, Linux)

For complete beginners even if you have never used cryptographic keys, Python, or terminal before.

1. Quick Start (Same on all operating systems)

1. Go to the ui folder inside DagzTagz-Uni-Build.
2. Double-click index.html — it will open in your default web browser.
3. You are now inside the neon terminal with Vesper Nyx.

2. How to Use Your Keys

• Click “SHOW MY KEYS” → Generates your permanent public key (private key saved in browser... prototype only, to be expanded on for safety).
• Click “EXPORT KEYPAIR” → Downloads my_dagztagz_keys.json — this is your real cryptographic identity. Back it up immediately.
• Click “FORK THIS UNIVERSE” → Creates a signed fork using your key.
• Click “ROTATE IDENTITY” → Only use this if you want a completely fresh identity.

Golden Rule: Never share the private key. Export it and store the file offline.

3. Operating System Specific Instructions

Windows 11
Double-click index.html. For Python tools: Right-click folder → “Open in Terminal” → cd src → python filename.py

macOS
Double-click index.html. For Python tools: Open Terminal → drag folder → cd src → python3 filename.py

Linux
Double-click index.html. For Python tools: Open Terminal → cd to folder → cd src → python3 filename.py

Your keys are yours. Export them immediately.
Every fork is signed with your private key and contains verifiable provenance.
Never share your private key.

We are not building another AI toy.
We are building the next layer — one that protects the sacred spark of human consciousness and gives every builder, regardless of resources, true sovereignty.

This prototype was built in a single hardcore session.
